Old world style, service and ambiance!! The food is always yummy and plentiful, with fresh warm sourdough bread and two bruscetta options that are fantastic. I also can't get enough of their lentil soup, when they make it (typically serve a very good minestrone, but occasionally swap it for a to-die-for lentil) We ate here weekly when we lived just up the road, and I miss it!!The bar can get noisy, as it is a local hangout. Its contemporary music can wash out the Italian music in the dining room and pretty much sound awful if you are there late Friday night and sitting just outside the bar area. Lol. But if you are looking for classic yummy food in an old world place that will remind you of days gone by WITH AMAZINGLY lovely wait staff and ownership, this is a must visit.

This place has great Italian food! 4 course meal plus fresh warm sour dough bread. The service is always good too. If you're at the Jackson Rancharia you should make the 5 mile drive. You won't be disappointed.

This is one family institution that is the pride of upcountry Amador county. Where do I start - great family owned business for sure. Well stocked bar, friendly staff and awesome home style food with great servings - starts with a bread basket & butter, polenta board, salad, soup, pasta and the main entree. Need I say more - if I lived any closer to this place, I would have had dinner at least once a week. Thank you, Lisa & Pam and the awesome crew for running a fabulous business. Highly recommended !!

Amazing vibe. Like you're in Italy. People are celebrating, smiling. The staff is short friendly. There is lots of room, I don't think there should be any problems with finding a table ever.The food was very good. The soup was great. I had a pasta carbonara, it was great too.

It's always been a family favorite, but this last time was extremely disappointing. The food left a lot to be desired. We all ended up with stomach problems after eating there. Probably won't be back which is very sad to say.

This restaurant is my preferable site. Of all restaurants I know I prefere it most. I always suggests to my friends to go to visit this place. Whenever I I need a good lunch, this is the place that comes straight to my head. outstanding and food and a large list of dishes.courteous crew, and pleasant ambience. Also important, the bill is good. I praise this spot with great pleasure.

Worst service I’ve had in years! I am a local and have dined here many times. Recently my parents are visiting from out of state and decided to celebrate their 49th wedding anniversary at Giannini’s. Long story short our meal was ended up abruptly by the staff turning off the Italian music, blaring the song ‘closing time’ from the bar, not offering dessert and staff starting to vacuum before our table was cleared of entrées. When I spoke with the manager, she seemed ambivalent. When we arrived at 7:30 ( an hour before they close the doors to serving) only one other table occupied. Due to the slow visits by the single server on staff, we did not receive our 4 entrées until after 8:15. Our services was slow, but nice and I would not be posting this poor review if not for the shabby treatment at the end of our meal.

This is my favorite Italian food restaurant in the area. The food always tastes great (I get the Ribeye Roast) and you get so much food for the price. You get several courses: bread, polenta board, salad, soup, spaghetti, and then your main dish so you can't go hungry after eating there. Most of the vegetables are fresh from their own garden and you can definitely tell the difference in quality compared to other places. I have been going there for years and will continue to as long as I live in the area!

Service, food and atmosphere was great.The atmosphere is such that one can feel comfortable dressing up or dressing simply. The service and staff were very friendly and attentive without being bothersome.I wouldn't call the food exceptional, but it was very, very good. Every meal comes with soup, salad and bread, all of which are large enough to make a meal on its own.I had the lasagna which was great, and the wife had the chicken scallopini which she also enjoyed very much.We also ordered the tomato bruschetta which was nice and fresh and had a nice flavor.The portions will not leave you wanting more.Highly recommended for a great Italian meal in the area.

Ordered togo, Food was wonderful great texture and flavor. Portions could be larger though. Staff was very nice when I picked up food. Next time we'll have to try to dine in.

Feels like home every time we go!! ❤ Not only incredible food but the service is exceptional. The family style meal service and personal attention from the owners truly reminds me of a Sunday meal with my Nonna. We love watching the owners greet each table and often sit to share conversation. It makes the experience about so much more than just great food.

This is such a cool place. It reminds me of a mob movie set. The food is just so good and the whole staff is super friendly and fun.
